attendance:
Dr. Robison, Charles Gilman, Steve and Cheryl Nolin, Tami
Halphen, Faye Hamilton, Clayton Jones, Bobbie Culberson, Tom Schubert, Tom
Clark and Scott Tillinghast.
- Meeting
started at 7:05 pm. Dr. Robison greeted the group.
- Tom
Clark took the floor and briefly told us about his non-profit group and
how they get books into libraries. He mentioned the Kroger non-profit
donation card as one of the ways they get donations.
- Dr.
Robison took the floor and discussed our protest today at the Federal
building. He discussed Ann and Bob Lee and their participation in the
protest and their son Richard Lee, who is now running the Bull Dog Café in
Oakland. He also covered the large protest that will be taking place in
Sacramento California on September 23, 2002 at the Capitol building
regarding the raids by Federal DEA agents on medical marijuana clubs. He
also briefly discussed the possibility of doing something on September 28,
when President Bush and John Cornyn will be in town.
- We
watched videotape of Good Morning America with Diane Sawyer that Tom
Schubert brought on America’s youth and the “new and improved drug” ad
campaign targeted to them.
